Sam Kohn

Sam Kohn, Materials Information Consultant, specializes in the implementation and customization of ANSYS’s GRANTA MI software. He strives to develop technical data management solutions for customers.

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Sam rejected local norms and enrolled at Purdue University to study engineering. Sam graduated from Purdue with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. While at Purdue, Sam specialized in laboratory work, including educating students in materials characterization techniques and researching novel processing methods for ceramic materials.

As an enthusiast of all things outdoors and athletic, Sam can be found biking, rock climbing, volunteering at the local park, and occasionally competing in Tae Kwon Do tournaments. He also spends his time performing stand-up comedy as well as practicing the trumpet.

Sam seeks to continue to develop his technical knowledge and experience while using his materials science experience to aid in crafting unique solutions for customers.
