Clay Records
Clay Records, application developer, works full time to make applications that ease the process of handling customers’ materials data. Clay works with the rest of the MDMi team to find common tasks that could be improved by software and brainstorm how to enhance existing software to fit needs. Since he joined the team in 2018, he has developed several tools like PyRO, Schema Tool, and Spec Check, and is constantly working on new things while improving the existing.
Clay grew up in Fishers, Indiana, and graduated from Ball State University in 2017 with a B.S. in Computer Science. His affection for programming originally stemmed from wanting to make his own video game, so he would turn school projects into a game whenever possible. While at school, Clay was active in the band program and a member of the Pride of Mid-America Marching Band in the saxophone section where he made lifelong friends.
In his spare time, Clay enjoys board games, video games, and role-playing games of all kinds; he always says the way to tell if a game is good is if the rule book is too big to realistically read in one sitting. He collects rubber ducks, a reference to both his tech job and his Xbox gamertag, and enjoys decorating his desk and home with seasonal ducks. He loves cooking and watching cooking videos.
